Dear Sirs,
I am looking for an experiential summer-internship opportunity in California
Institute of Technology due the SURF progran. I would like to work as an
assistant during summer in order to gain further experience in the field of
Astrophysics/Physics. I am interested in any of your student-internship
vacancies. I would appreciate it if you could tell me whether I could be
employed by your service for the summer of 2002.
I currently attend the Bachelor/Master Degree on Astrophysics in the
University of Kent.
I will be completing the first academic year on the 29th of May 2002.
I trust your experience will contribute valuable advice. I hope soon to
become an active member of your laboratory team.
I am the telescope officer in the Space Society of University of Kent.
Being a student in the University of Kent I have been exposed to a
multi-cultural group of students and staff members. I came to appreciate the
variety of personal and academic challenges. The quality of the teachings
proved a great source of inspiration. My anticipation is to gain a better
understanding of the science of Astrophysics and as a future graduate to
contribute in the field of Physics/ Astrophysics.
I trust that you will find me an excellent team player with proven skills in
training roles, caring, enthusiastic, and able to create and sustain
positive relationships among colleagues.
I have effective communication skills and I am bilingual (English-Greek). I
am proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, Internet Explorer, Visual
Basic and Fortran 90.
Meanwhile, I'll be very happy to contact you by phone and send you further
documents if necessary.
I am looking forward for your response.
Sincerely Yours,
Konstantinos Mavrokoridis
